Boldman has been making headlines recently thanks to its worldwide export success. Over 50 percent of our business now comes from overseas sales: we now ship our aluminium profile products to countries including Angola, Ivory Coast, Malaysia, Norway, Nigeria, Rwanda and the USA, with plans also in place to export to Brazil and Australia by the end of the year.
The company’s export success comes of the back of two record years of growth, with a reported turnover of £4 million in the last financial year, up on £1.5 million in 2013.
Boldman designs, develops and manufactures bespoke aluminium structures used in industries such as aerospace, automotive, pharmaceutical and nuclear from aluminium extrusions and accessories. Boldman began as a distributor of aluminium extrusions in 1996 but the company’s recent success is due to engineering innovations such as the new transparent glass ballistic test cell, which is revolutionising the oil and gas industry worldwide by making it easier for clients to carry out safety tests on equipment.
The company’s continued growth is due to our commitment to new ideas, we have strived to find new markets and uses for our products – we are always pushing the boundaries for the use of aluminium.
